Mr. Lem brings over 15 years of experience in the areas of economic development as well as tax and financial incentives and has advised businesses ranging from startups to large multinational corporations. Most recently, Mr. Lem served as the managing member and founder of an economic development consulting firm advising and guiding businesses in site selection and securing incentives such as employment and capital equipment-related tax credits, tax exemptions, tax-increment financing, training grants, as well as other programs. Prior to this, Mr. Lem was employed as a Senior Manager with global professional services firms Ernst & Young, LLP and Coopers & Lybrand, now known as PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he fulfilled roles as a leader in their business incentives and multi-state tax practices and where he managed and performed as lead technical advisor on large multinational engagements. Mr. Lem also was employed in the public sector as a multi-state corporate tax auditor with the State of California where he began his career after graduating with honors in Accounting and Finance from California State University, Sacramento.
Mr. Lem is an advocate for the entrepreneur and small business owner and is a member of various economic development organizations, small business development centers, and angel investment groups.
Mr. Lem’s responsibilities include business development for the Company, establishing various affiliated distribution networks, and coordinating the document production process of the Financial Architect System. Mr. Lem is located in the Bay Area region of Northern California.
