Todd Colpron began his career in the investment world as a licensed registered representative with investment banking and financial services company Piper Jaffray. He has held numerous securities license including Series 7, 6, 63 and insurance licenses.  He is a serial investor, worked with numerous start-ups and serves on various boards.  Mr. Colpron has 25+ years of business development, strategic planning, capital raising, management, banking, marketing and sales experience.

He is one of the earliest investors in Attune Medical, a Chicago-based medical device company and has served on their Advisory Board for 8 years. Attune Medical developed the first-ever medical device to control body temp from within and the only medical device on the market that heats and cools the patient. It is also the only approved device on the market that uses the esophageal environment for full-body temperature control. With a quiver of 16 patents, Attune is conducting ground-breaking work in the field of temperature management and electrophysiology. The company closed a Series C funding for $16M September 2018.

Mr. Colpron has served 9 years on the Advisory Board for the Richard G. Lugar Center for Renewable Energy at Indiana University and Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI).  The Lugar Center was established in 2007 to address the societal needs for clean, affordable, renewable energy sources while improving the nation’s energy security. The primary mission is to promote research excellence in renewable energy through collaborative efforts and these applications are promoted through education, civic engagement as well as synergistic partnerships with industry, government labs, and local communities.

He joined the Board of Directors of Indiana-based water non-profit Water for Good (WFG) in 2015. WFG has a near perfect score for accountability and transparency by Charity Search as it works in one of the poorest and most dangerous countries on the planet – Central African Republic.  With nearly 60% of all the wells in Africa broken, WFG has drilled and maintains more than 1,600 wells with a 91% working efficiency.  WFG provides water on a daily basis to 10% of the population (500K people) and the goal is to provide water for the entire population by 2030.

In early 2018, Mr. Colpron became an Advisor to the The Institute For Philanthropic Excellence in Clifton Park, NY.  The Institute is one of the top consulting firms advising non-profit organizations and has successful raised nearly $500 million.  The firm has a team of seasoned professionals passionate about enhancing and expanding the missions of non-profit organizations across the country.

Mr. Colpron is a long-standing member of InfraGard – a public-private partnership between U.S. businesses and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy and a member of the Indiana Intelligence Fusion Center. He has completed numerous InfraGard training which included the Naval Postgraduate School-Center for Asymmetric Warfare.

In 2014, Mr. Colpron was selected and completed the NREL (National Renewable Energy Laboratory) Executive Energy Leadership Institute. He also served on the Energy Advisory Committee at the Houston Technology Center in Houston, TX. He is an Eagle Scout ( Boy Scouts of America).

Prior positions include the role of Vice President of Business Development for Indie Power System and similar roles with several energy companies. He was the Director of Business Development for Otten Consulting Group and was a banker at U.S. Bank.  Mr. Colpron also served as an aide to a U.S. Congressman. He graduated from Washington State University in 1986.
